Standalone Appliance Enables Exchange of PAC/PLC Data with
Enterprise, Business and Plant
Applications
eATM tManager Standalone modules make it easy to
configure data exchange between factory floor controllers and
enterprise, business and plant computer applications. They are
an ideal interface
between controller and computer systems
integrating business applications without custom
programming or the use of software on a middleware
computer system.
These modules can be mounted on a panel or in a
cabinet and connect with popular Rockwell Automation, Siemens
and Schneider Electric PACs/PLCs via Ethernet. eATM tManager modules can be ordered with adapters
for popular IBM, Microsoft, MySQL and Oracle databases, as
well as JMS (Java Message Service)-based systems including:
IBM WAS JMS, Red Hat JBoss JMS and JBoss Community JMS. In
addition, adapters are available with Microsoft Excel and
Access,TCP/IP and UDP sockets, FTP and bi-directional email.
Configuration software for eATM tManager modules
features intuitive screens and drop down menus to graphically
map controller and computer data for bidirectional exchange.
The software also enables users to group data into projects
and configure triggers for data exchange by time, value or
event.
The setup software also configures the module’s
store and forward and failover features. If data is
interrupted between the controller and the computer system, it
is either stored in the module and then forwarded when the
connection is resumed, or sent to defined failover
destinations. In either case, status alerts can be sent by
email. In addition, there are logs for module status as well
as for all data exchange transactions. These aid in system
commissioning and troubleshooting.
