Virtual Tradeshow Doubles Attendance for Online Development
at Automation Fair
Anaheim, California – Online Development doubled their booth attendance at Automation Fair November 11 and 12, by webcasting live via the Internet from the show floor. A web portal on the company’s web site during show hours included a live streaming video of booth activity and live audio and video broadcasts of the company’s new product introductions. Online viewers also were able to ask booth personnel questions during the presentation via email.
“We heard from many, that due to corporate travel restrictions, they would be unable to attend Automation Fair show this year,“ commented Ron Monday, the company’s president and CEO. “So, we basically took the show to them. Using a webinar format, we provided live video, audio and presentation graphics to let our global customers see and hear what those at the show were seeing and hearing. We had a tremendous response and a few notes thanking us for our efforts.”
Online Development introduced three new appliance transaction modules at the show that simplify the exchange of data between dissimilar devices. The eATM tManager appliance connects plant controllers with enterprise computer systems, the cATM Universal Gateway appliance for connecting over 100 brands of controllers, and the cATM ABB Bailey appliance for migrating legacy DCS to advanced Allen-Bradley controllers.
