Online Development’s xCoupler Module Receives
Control Engineering Magazine’s Editors’ Choice Award

Knoxville, TN – Control Engineering magazine has tapped Online Development’s xCoupler enterprise transaction module for one of the magazine’s 45 Editors’ Choice Awards. “Throughout the year, Control Engineering editors cover thousands of products and select from the ones with exceptional market impact, technological advancement, and service to the industry,” says Mark Hoske, Control Engineering’s Editor-in-Chief. “The editors nominate what we believe to be the best products based on those criteria."

xCouplers modules install into factory floor PLCs to provide a simple way to exchange factory floor and enterprise server data. They provide a seamless and secure method to provide real time information flow between the plant floor control systems and business systems than conventional HMI- or PC-based custom software methods.

Readers of Control Engineering are being asked to vote for their own favorites among the editors’ selections to determine the winners of the third annual Engineers’ Choice Awards. They will choose the top winner in each of eight product categories. The winners will be revealed during the Editors’ Choice Awards ceremony, held in conjunction with National Manufacturing Week, March 20-24, near Chicago.

“We are very pleased to receive this award from the editors of Control Engineering magazine,” commented Ron Monday, Online Development’s President and CEO. “Being recognized by the leading publication that serves the control engineering profession is truly an honor.”
