xCoupler Module for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PACs

The xCoupler module is designed to snap into a ControlLogix or PAC and gather plant floor device data from the backplane. It can also gather plant floor data via Ethernet, or from other Logix-based PACs via ControlNet. It exchanges data with the business system via a front-mounted Ethernet port.

The module provides bi-directional data exchange between plant floor devices and the business system and can be configured to perform a variety of bi-directional tasks through the use of the module’s WorkBench configuration utility.

The functionality of the xCoupler module is totally independent of factory floor device operation and its operation can only be changed by authorized personnel using the WorkBench utility. It also operates on a platform that is impervious to viruses and includes strategic authentication and access methods.
